How to Play Age of War
Click the unit icons to spawn troops, build turrets in your slots, and bank XP from kills to evolve through five ages — from cavemen to the future. Trigger your special attack when the lane gets crowded. Destroy the enemy base before they destroy yours.
Age of War is the lane-defense classic that distilled strategy into one brilliant loop: send units, earn XP, evolve your entire civilization mid-battle. You start flinging spear-throwing cavemen; by the end you are deploying laser troops from a futuristic base — if you survive the awkward minutes in between, because evolving at the wrong moment leaves you fielding ancient troops against knights.
That timing decision is the whole game. Evolve early and your special attack resets; hoard XP and the enemy out-ages you first. Turret choices add a second axis — cheap early towers hold the lane, but their slots are precious later. Twenty years on, it is still one of the most replayable strategy games in a browser.
Strategy fans should also hold the line in Knights vs Orcs, Cursed Treasure 2 or more popular games.
