How to Play House of Hazards
Player 1 moves with WASD, Player 2 with the arrow keys (solo play works too). One side completes simple chores — grab the mail, pour the coffee — while the other triggers traps to stop them. Swap roles each round; first to the score target wins.
House of Hazards is couch-multiplayer chaos in a browser tab: one player just wants to finish mundane household tasks, and the other controls the house itself — swinging cabinets, dropping lamps, firing toasters — to stop them. Then the roles flip, and all the cruelty you just suffered becomes available for revenge. It is a party game disguised as a platformer, and it is at its best with two people sharing one keyboard.
Rounds are under a minute, hazards are telegraphed just enough to dodge if the runner is paying attention, and the scoring keeps matches close. A wheel of modifiers (low gravity, speed-ups, inverted controls) keeps long sessions from settling into patterns. Solo mode replaces the rival with timed challenges if you have no victim nearby.
