How to Play Shady Bears
Move with the arrow keys (second player: WASD) and jump to collect acorns. Your own shadow mimics your every move and touching it hurts — keep moving in patterns your past self can't follow. Fireflies help, honey tempts, bees punish greed.
Shady Bears has one of the cleverest enemies in platforming: you. Every move your bear makes is mirrored by a shadow that follows your exact path a few seconds behind, so the longer you survive, the more the level fills with your own history chasing you down. Collecting acorns is the goal; not walking into your past self is the challenge; and the panic of realizing you have cornered yourself is the comedy.
Pickups bend the rules beautifully — fireflies chase your shadow off, honey pots pile on score but anchor you to risky spots, and bees add a second pursuer that does not follow your rules at all. Two-player co-op doubles the shadows and the blame, and it is glorious.
